Captain Geo…….
Captain George P. Ballard grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi where his Love for Fishing began by catching the Fish that inhabited the creeks, farm ponds, and big reservoirs of the area. After graduating from The University Of Southern Mississippi in 1972 with a B.S. in Marine Biology, Geo moved to Pensacola, Fl. Where he bought a 17 Foot boat and began to learn about the habits of the multiple species of Saltwater Fish that thrive in local Bay and Gulf waters and The methods used to catch them.

In 1978 Geo began fishing for Blue Water pelagic big game fish (Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin or “Mahi-Mahi”, And Tuna) on the original “Offshore Animal”, a 24 Foot Aquasport , with Lynn B. Paul, who would soon become the “Top Angler Of The Year” of the Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club.

In 1979 CaptGeo began his professional career as the Mate on the Legendary “Ms. Mindy” out of Ono Island, Alabama, teaming up with owner Jeff Friedman who caught his first Blue Marlin on Geo’s First Day As Mate on the Boat! Geo and Lynn became known as “The Blues Brothers” after winning several Tournaments in the 80’s and setting the Alabama State record Blue Marlin in 1981 at 578-1/4 Lbs.That fish and another that tipped the scales at 601-1/2 Lbs. Gained Friedman the “ Grand Champion” Award of The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club. The late 80’s & early 90’s found Geo joining forces with John Soule on “My Vice” resulting in Soule capturing “Grand Champion & Top Angler”honors for 3 years in The Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club. CaptGeo served as President of this Fine Organization in 1995,1996, and 1997, Overseeing the Pensacola International Billfish Tournament as well as The Ladies And Junior Angler Events staged by the Club. In 1995 CaptGeo led the Crew of the “WoodKnot” to victory at “The Bay Point Invitational” in Panama City winning $115,000 with a fine 644-1/2 Lbs. Blue. At the Turn of the century Geo began fishing on “KARMA” with World-Class Anglers Dixie and Bobby Snellgrove

In 2001 Geo guided Dixie to a very rare Personal ‘Super Grand Slam” for the year. She Tagged & released ALL 5 SPECIES OF BILLFISH including Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish , And Longbill Spearfish! During this time Geo Also extensively fished the inshore waters of Bayou Texar and Pensacola Bay perfecting the techniques he uses to catch numerous Trophy-sized Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. After Hurricane Ivan destroyed “KARMA” in 2004, CaptGeo founded “Offshore Animal Too Fishing” and launched his Triton 240LTS in April, 2005.
